The Wangaratta Community Toy Library is a volunteer run, not for profit organisation. We rely on our small committee and our members volunteering their time to keep the Toy Library running. Membership fees make up our main income to cover operational costs such as membership with our governing body Toy Libraries Australia, Insurance, Software subscription and other day to day running costs. On top of this we heavily rely on grants, fundraising and donations.
Please note our recent Membership reform and price rise as of 13th September 2025 to bring our memberships more inline with other Toy Libraries in our region and to help us in covering our rising operational costs.

Volunteering

We understand everyone’s situation is different and we aim to be inclusive of everyones needs so we do offer a non-volunteering levy.
Please really consider your capacity to vounteer before fully opting out with the Non-Volunteering Levy as we do rely on people facing volunteers to operate day to day. Children are absolutely welcome to attend whilst you volunteer, we have space for them to play, a play pen you can use for younger/toddling children, comfortable couches to sit and feed if needed as well as a kitchenette with kettle and microwave, toilet and nappy changing facilities.
Please reach out via email if you have any questions or concerns- Our committee are flexible in what we require from our volunteers and can offer a variety of options so that you may complete your volunteering requirements in a way that suits your needs. For example we can swap your in person volunteering shift for other tasks such as toy cleaning, toy repairs, cataloguing new toys, sewing or photography – tasks you can complete at home in your own time.
Without our volunteers we cannot continue to operate!

HOW DO I JOIN?

Complete the online application form then come in to the Toy Library during opening hours with your annual fee, and photo ID to finish the sign up process.
If you have a valid concession card, please reach out via email and bring your concession along with you on your first visit so our volunteers can add your discount before you pay.
On your first visit to the Toy Library a committee member or volunteer will give you a quick tour of the library, facilities and explain the loaning process. Then you are free to browse and begin borrowing!

We accept payments via cash, card or bank transfer.
